Museum of Vincenz Priessnitz

Priessnitz Medical Spa is the only spa in the Czech Republic, where you can visit the house its founder lived as well as his tomb. According to historians, Vincenz Priessnitz died in the Hrad spa house at the age of fifty-two. Since 1853, he is buried in a Neo-Gothic tomb situated on the spa colonnade,  together with his wife Sofie and his daughter Karolína. Remebmer also to visit the house where he was born, nowadays a museum with an exhibition dedicated to  the beginnings of water cure and to the life of Vincenz Priessnitz.

The permanent exhibition displays a large collection of documents and objects connected with the life and work of Vincenz Priessnitz. You can have a look at his passport, family jewelery, and books on water cure. Furthermore, you can see a wax figure of Vincenz Priessnitz and a model of the spa in 19th century.
