To see the demons Not only witches, also another 'dark powers' are connected with Jeseníky Mountains. Some three kilometers to Jeseník, there is situated the Čertovy Kameny Rock, a favourite lookout. Supposedly, a devil helped to form this rock, and the nearby inn carries the same name. To reach the Čertovy Kameny Rock, you can also take the spa road-train. There is a wonderful view from the rock, looking at the Jeseníky Mountains, the spa resort, as well as the lakes in nearby Poland. Čertovy Kameny are popular with rock-climbers, too. There are a few rock formations close to one another. The rock-climbing difficulty ranges from III to IX, thus the Čertovy Kameny Rock is considered challenging most track in Jeseník Region. |
